Plan Your Move

Once the quote has been accepted we will plan your move, taking into consideration access, parking and permits etc. With over 30 years’ experience, we know the order of where certain boxes (and items) should be located within the van and can run through the process with you.

Moving Day

Having prepared everything, we want your new home move to go as smoothly as possible. Loading and unloading is done in a particular order and eases the stress upon arrival as we unload boxes and items on a room by room basis for you.

How do I arrange a quotation?

It’s simple – call your nearest Statham & Co branch to arrange a free property survey. A visit allows us to assess factors such as the volume of goods we need to move, access to property, type of packing required.

Do we have to pay a deposit?

No, but we do need full payment seven days before the move.

Can we provisionally book a moving date?

Dependent on availability we generally take provisional bookings. Full payment and return of your acceptance form will complete and secure your booking.

Will you disconnect my washing machine or cooker?

No. We take care of most things, but these are both something you’ll have to sort out yourself before moving day.

Will you do all of my packing and unpacking?

Yes, but only if you want us to. It depends entirely on your preferences. We can carry out a full pack or a fragile-only pack. Both are cost-effective, but if you choose to, you can pack by yourself. All packing materials will be provided.

Do you offer a Cancellation or late Key waiver bond?

Cancellation Waiver

Further changes can occur last minute such as a postponement or cancelled move. With our Cancellation Waiver bond any cancellation or postponement charges which can be up to 60% can be avoided.

Late Key Waiver

As we appreciate that no matter how carefully you plan your moving day, some elements are beyond everybody’s control.

For instance, key collection can be delayed due to technical matters or transfer of money delays. Our Late Key Waiver covers you for up to a three hour time delay, this eliminates stress and avoids any unexpected standing costs.

Your local branch will be happy to provide you with more information. Full details of all our insurance options can be discussed with our trained surveyor during your home survey.

Can you transport my plants?

Yes. We can transfer your indoor and outdoor plants, though not into storage.

What will I do with the empty boxes?

Once you have finished unpacking, just call the Statham & Co branch that moved you to arrange collection.

What if we need to store our furniture/other large items?

We can arrange storage for any quantity or duration. All your goods will containerised, insured and CCTV protected.

Are your staff fully trained?

Statham & Co have a highly skilled workforce. We’re committed to providing a first class service built upon our reputation, our regular and ongoing training ensure that all staff know the latest packing and handling techniques. All our staff are vetted and carry identification cards.

Do you belong to any professional organisations?

Yes we are accredited members of the Association of Independent Movers (A.I.M).
